I have always loved photography and studied briefly during high school. I got married, started my family and dedicated my life to my husband and kids. But I always loved taking pictures. I was never satisfied with just one holiday picture for the annual cards. My kids were my models and I would take multiple shots in a few different settings to get "the perfect picture".
When my youngest was graduating high school, I decided it was time to upgrade my equipment. I purchased a Nikon D5100. I still consider myself a beginner photographer. But I've decided to take a chance and see what becomes of my passions. I have found nature to be my favorite subjects, if I'm not taking photos for friends and family events.
Then came my next artistic journey.
As I needed artwork for my house and had trouble finding different pieces that I liked, I decided that I would try to create my own. I fell in love with the process of creating something unique. I have used acrylic, watercolor, and ink and have painted on canvas, paper, and wood. I'm always finding a different inspiration and I love trying new things.
I hope you enjoy my art and growth through my photography and painting.
